Lifestyle of the Malagasy

If you have ever thought about coming to Madagascar🇲🇬, you have probably already watched videos about the question: "How is the life in Madagascar? automatically linked to this question, you want to know how is the way of life of Malagasy people? This is a good question, since coming to a country where you don't like the way of life of the natives is not very pleasant.
In this blog, we will talk about the way of life of the Malagasy. First of all, I want to say that the Malagasy way of life is globally simple. That said, the Malagasy are epicureans. Most tourists who have already visited the island admit and admire this fact.

During the day

Madagascar during the day and Madagascar during the night is almost different. Systematically in every country, in the early morning people get ready to go to work. However, in Madagascar, the sector of activity is very diversified. Many people do not work for a company, but are self-employed. During the day, while some people are getting ready to go to work, students are getting ready to go to school, the street is very busy. At every corner of the street, there are vendors of "Mofogasy", "Ramanonaka", tea and coffee and also vendors of rice and meat (let's not forget that the main meal of the Malagasy is rice). Many Malagasy prefer to eat their breakfast at these places, as it is very pleasant to eat there. They are meeting places where members of the society, neighbors, friends chat, tell each other news. In general, it is a lively place. There is no shortage of fruit and vegetable vendors to decorate the place. You can see in the early morning that the place is alive, people are motivated and dynamic.

At night:

When the sun starts to set, the city becomes even more animated than in the morning. People, especially young people, get out of the house, go for a walk, enjoy life with their friends. The neighborhoods are very lively, many young people hang out in the street. This is the reality in many neighborhoods, however there are some very quiet areas. Around 4pm, if you visit the city or the busy places, you will see a lot of people. The kabob sellers, the restaurants are full of people, the bars also have their supporters. Many are the young people who go there. Small markets everywhere decorate the city and the neighborhoods in an irresistible way. On Fridays (beautiful Fridays), people meet up, have a barbecue, and have fun in the neighborhoods where there are bars. The atmosphere is indescribable, what is more that people but especially young people are numerous. The restaurants, the parks, the streets are very lively. When it is really dark, you can admire the beauty of the neighborhoods, it is rather quiet when it is dark. This time you can contemplate the specificity of the places.

The lights of each house light up, if you have a good view of the city, it is really breathtaking. In the provinces, it is a bit the same thing, except that when the evening comes in the provinces, people prefer to go to the seaside, and enjoy the moments with their relatives. Nevertheless everywhere in Madagascar, the atmosphere during the evening is to cut the breath.
